Guilt and shame around sexuality still have such a monstrous scope in this world and time. They have been collectively contracting and suppressing our life energy for centuries. I see it time and again in my retreats, when courageous people face it and go through releasing these life energy "suckers" how deeply they sit in the cells and how many layers they have.
Life energy is not just some sort of a wish, it's that which makes us alive! So, it's pretty serious stuff that we collectively carry these parasites in us.
Even though we are in the 21st century today, so few adult people are actually truly sexually empowered and are aware of their life energy workings. While I believe it should become a standard high school education - so much pain would be prevented.
It was a long journey for me to come to sexual empowerment. There are so many layers to it and there was no real consistent guidance that I received throughout the journey. Being a woman, I was extra careful, as i was afraid of any sort of abuse. And yet, once the momentum was built, I trusted myself more and more to be guided to the right people, places and practices. Did I have disappointments on my journey? Yes. I faced a couple of really bad abusive situations, and yet I knew they were part of my path of becoming aware, so I took steps for healing (which helps me today to support others in their healing)... and I continued. And this journey was worth every second. I'm very grateful to the teachers that came so abundantly my way.
Today I am proud to support others on this journey towards sexual empowerment, fulfilling life and spiritual growth that comes with it.
What does it mean for me today to be Sexually Empowered?
It means...
- making authentic sexual decisions by being so present and in connection with my own body and energy that I can distinguish a clear Yes and a clear No and timely express and act on it;
- being in charge of my sexual energy instead of it being in charge of me;
- knowing how to heal/harmonize myself if some sort of energy blockage occurs and the sexual energy either stops flowing or becomes super intense;
- being in touch with emotions and not being afraid to conduct them through my body = they are life energy in motion as opposite to being "safely" numb;
- the sexual trauma that happened in the past is acknowledged and released to the degree that is no longer in the way for me to fully feel my body and be in connection with my partner;
- no shying away from experiencing pleasure and bliss, including no shyness about being loud ;-)
- being aware of the collective suppression and taboos around sexuality and not buying into them; they make me laugh today!
