It’s been very hot in Tamera in all senses.
We survived 42 degrees Celsius the day before yesterday, but even 6 degrees less still feel like being on a frying pan.
So much is happening everyday. So much information and experiences. I am literally able to share only 1-2% of what’s going on here.
Now I’m in silence in a cool “Earth room” writing these lines. Exhaling…
Yesterday, we inquired into the complexity of JEALOUSY as an umbrella term for many different feelings.
Jealousy can be simply a huge rush of energy that arises when I witness my partner/lover connecting with someone else. It can be exciting, energising, and can invoke an even bigger Eros between us.
Jealousy can also be a term used to refer to many other feelings that arise when…
my need is not fulfilled and s/he connects with someone else… it hurts (pain)
a belief that if s/he connects with someone else it’s because “I’m not good enough” (pain)
a belief that there is lack of love and if it flows to someone else that I will not receive enough of love myself (fear)
a belief that if s/he connects with someone, there is no place for me there (disappointment, sadness)
fear of loosing a partner, a provider, a soulmate, a home, a family (fear)
I don’t like something and I’m disappointed because s/he behaves not how I think it should be (disappointment)
belief in lack (fear)
from the perspective of monogamy it is betrayal either way (hurt)
and there can be so many more underlying feelings and beliefs.
Working through jealousy is about gaining inner Authority and shining light on all the underlying patterns that drive this huge variety of feelings.
Inability to pursue our own drives and motives, needs and desires may sum up in the moment when my partner connects to someone else. My own wanting and drive that has been suppressed (in all areas of life, not only in relationship) is exposed now.
The opposite of jealousy is Compersion.
Compersion is the positive emotion one feels when one sees their partner involved with another person.
It happens naturally when I can see through my limiting beliefs, BE WITH different feelings and inquire into them, see to the root what’s really going on.
Some people don’t know Jealousy and only naturally feel Compersion.
We also collectively shared and learned all the various ways how to deal with jealousy, how to work with it and inquire into it in a trauma-informed way.
With love,
Alexa Mira
