"You share so much about yourself in the social media. Do You realize that you are bound to be misunderstood?", a friend asked me.
I know for a fact that I am misunderstood, more often than not.
Aren't we all?
One same word or image has a very (or subtly) different meaning to each of us.
We all carry our ideas about things, projections, interpretations, pains and insecurities, values and preferences. What we hear others say or do bounces back against the whole inner reality and thus a new meaning is created.
So, we mostly hear/see what it means in our world, but not necessarily what the other person really means.
And still, I do choose to share.
In the end, it's not about words, but about the energy that transmits through the sharing and that is to be felt between the lines.
This is even more important than getting the meaning right.
And it's also my desire to share, being an extravert and loving to be public. My personality is like this.
So, let me be misunderstood, and I will keep sharing things when I have the calling to do so.
Withholding our voice has a much bigger cost than "being misunderstood".
