In the last Open Tantra Workshop in Brussels a couple of days ago, we spoke about it extensively and we also did a powerful practice, as a result of which some people started arriving to the realization that owning your pleasure is in fact in the same realm as self-love. Because we can not own our pleasure without self-love, and we can't holistically love ourselves if we are not experiencing pleasure in our body.
Feeling of pleasure describes a state of expansion of your natural sensation and energy in your body. This is what we experience when life force flows uninhibitedly through our body, when there are no blockages holding it stuck.
When this is reality, we feel amazingly alive, joyful, free, confident, open, creative, inspired and full of energy to do things!
We can talk a lot about it, but the question is how can we practically cultivate self-love and own our pleasure? How can we release the blockages and open our body to the full flow of life energy?
All genius things are very simple and so it is also with cultivating self-love and opening up to and owning our pleasure.
One of the very powerful ways to cultivate self-love and pleasure in your body is through loving self-touch, breath and sound.

# Practice (at least 15 minutes daily or 3-4 times/week)
Create a cozy space for yourself by dimming the light, lighting some candles, turning on music you love and start touching different parts of your body and sensing what happens as you touch yourself. No matter what sensations you encounter, be it pleasure , numbness, ticklishness or pain, continue gently exploring and breathing into the parts that don't feel pleasant. Anything that shows up other than pleasant or alive means there is some stuckness there, which was most probably created by suppressed emotions, and you can release this suppression by breathing into these parts lovingly and deeply, giving them sound through your voice, sometimes staying at one spot for 5 minutes or so, until you feel the energy shifts. By giving the suppressed emotion space and expression, you free yourself on the cellular level. In Tantric circles, it's also called nowadays self-dearmoring.
Include your whole body, not just your intimate areas, discover what kind of touch you like, where you like to touch yourself. Try to go faster and slower, alternate very deep touch to feather-like touch, find what makes you melt and relax, what makes you aroused. When you get aroused, spread it all over your body through touch by breathing deeply through your mouth. And allow your body to respond with movement as the energy wakes up inside of you.

People travel to India and other parts of the world to find themselves. I have been there myself 8 years ago, when I felt totally confused in life, unhappy and disappointed. The above practice, when done regularly will open your body and your spirit, calm your mind and allow you to experience the sweetness of life that you may hear some people talk about. And you'll be so surprised, on the one hand, to find out, how much of the unnecessary past you've been carrying with you and how light it feels when it's gone. You will be surprised how different this practice will feel to you each day, sometimes extremely pleasant, and other days very emotional or even numb. Go through everything and trust the wisdom of your body.
