Fear of loneliness makes so many people compromise, hide things, not live authentically. If only we realized that we are alone anyway...
How would it be to fall back on noone else but on to yourself?
How would it feel to be complete with yourself and not needing someone around to complete you?
How would it be to live life authentically because you are not afraid to be rejected or abandoned?
Of course, we are social being and not meant to be alone. Of course, the longing to share our life with someone is natural.
And yet, when we are in a relationship but not rooted in our aloneness, we compromise through pleasing, hiding, pretending. And this is not what brings the depth of fulfillment. If we can't be fully true, which is only possible when the fear of loneliness is not hunting us, we will play mediocre and that is simply unfulfilling.
Meeting our aloneness leads to unconditional self-worth. From this place we can relax into ourselves, stand strong on both feet and be true to the light that shines through us. ❤️
Some time ago I chose to face my fear of loneliness and I retreated into silence for a week, alone. It was very challenging, but I knew what I was there for. I was there to meet my loneliness, to open up to it.
And once it was met, I felt such incredible peace. The fear of loneliness turned out to be the Door through which I needed to walk through. It was nothing else than an invitation to deeply get to know myself.
In silence we stop running after yet another distraction that usually gets created by the mind and we surrender to the endless vastness that we are. From there we will still participate in life, oh yes, but in a very different way.
Welcome to join me on I AM Journey to Egypt through Sinai Desert in Silence on October 26-November 5th, 2019, to discover your vast aloneness and this time not to run away from it, but relax into it and celebrate it.
