Portugal

Less than 24 hours in Portugal and it feels so good!

For me visiting places is not really about places, but about people. With this sister, I’ve been travelling for 8 years in so many amazing ways. From our first women embodiment retreat in Bali in 2015 together, to “dying” in a sarcafagus in the great pyramid of Egypt and putting a ring on our fingers to stay always true to our souls movements, to having Corona together, to meeting time and again in different parts of this world, she is my family person.

I just love it how our energies dance each time we meet. How her softness is balanced by my fire, how her poise is enriched by my dynamism, and how no matter where we are in life, we keep finding each other.

And what about Portugal then?

It started calling me because of the kind of people it started attracting. Yesterday I met a group of women living here with their families, heard their stories, and felt a strong resonance. I was also mesmerised by the beauty of nature. The ocean, the birds, the sunset, the sand, the stars… mmmhhhh how much I love to be exposed to all of it.

Tonight we explore Cascais and Sintra - a couple of spots where expats are navigating towards. In Sintra, they have a Waldorf school, in English.

I’m feeling into it these days how it would be to live here. Also Lisbon is on our roadmap to visit, and a couple of other places.

The one downside for me here is cold ocean. What a pity to have this amazing nature and to not be able to relax into the warmth of the water.

And maybe also the language I have no notion of, although it does resemble Spanish so reading simple things somehow works.
