Yesterday, we had a very raw revealing conversation about all the underlying thoughts, emotions and beliefs that drive us in our relating. After speaking them out from both sides, we could see the full picture and both were astonished at the amount of assumptions that happened on each side and which created a lot of twisted interpretations.
Small seemingly insignificant assumptions and interpretations turned into bigger ones and started creating a snowball effect, which made us both experience a "push and pull" reality. We had to stop and ask ourselves "What's going on here?"
I am time and again astonished about the impact of truth being spoken in full vulnerability, our unpolished uncomfortable truth. Hearing him share his truth, stepping into his shoes. Sharing mine and being seen in it.
After conversations like this I feel like some sort of surgery happened. Quiet and humble inside.🙏
