Emptying the mind

If I were to give a label to my daily practice, I'd call it "emptying my mind".

What works for me miraculously is getting PHYSICAL by either doing yoga, dancing, or doing active physical meditations like Osho Kundalini, Chakra Breathing and Dynamic meditations. Yesterday I did yoga, this morning I did the Kundalini meditation.

What works for Dylan to empty his mind is watching a movie or playing an online game, i.e. modern way of the ancient equivalent of "staring into the fire".

For others, spending time in nature or silent meditations may work amazingly. I love spending time in nature too and it balances me out, yet I still need to engage my body for a complete effect.

There is no one way that fits all, but regularly emptying our mind is of utter importance, because with the loud mind and active loud emotions we can't really be Here & Now, we can't truly enjoy this life, and we can't hear our inner voice. Some call it a voice of the soul, others - inner wisdom.

To access this deeper layer of ourselves which holds wisdom that is so needed especially in challenging times, we need to move any mental and emotional noise that is in the way.

We could spend hours and days being busy with external reality, but it's much more important to take care of our internal reality.

Why?

Because it creates our external reality, and all of our experiences. As a reflection of our internal world, we either tense or relax, we either enjoy this life or experience suffering.

It's not what is happening outside that is important, it's against which internal reality it bounces off that makes a whole difference.

Our inner voice is the voice of wisdom. When we are connected to it, it's difficult to get us out of balance. It's the voice that is connected to the Whole. It draws its wisdom in a non-linear, non-time-bound way. It's refreshing like a beaming source of fresh water. It may contradict most sane arguments, and yet deep inside you will feel that the message is right.

And all it takes to hear it is to empty the mind and slow down. 🤫
