Covid 19 - day 4
Tonight, it's day 4 since symptoms started. It feels like I'm through. Feeling 85% healthy again. Joy is back, no pain, no fever, some tiredness and desire to stay in bed, after 1 hour being in the fresh air. Let's see if another wave is to come tonight.
I'm holding space for some of the sisters who are still going through a deep end right now.
Today, I was reflecting together with the group on the question if we could do anything differently to prevent COVID-19 from showing up in the space.
And the answer so far was No.
We did all we could within the context we had, including self-tests and asking people with symptoms to not come to the retreat (even with a negative self-test). And next to that, we took personal responsibility for the chance to still get Covid19 as we were aware of the non-reliability of tests.
It was the first retreat that I felt ready to start without testing, cause I knew already, that tests are not reliable anyway. Some women felt safer if we would do testing before. And we did. Now, some of us are glad we did, because we can say "we did all we could" .
How do I wish to go forward working with groups?
In full transparency, informing participants way more in advance that they do take a risk to get any virus incl. COVID19 by joining a group gathering, whether they are vaccinated or not, whether we test negative before the event or not (if it's at all needed anymore).
I will also send a list with natural remedies to have ready at home in case they ever get Covid19 (or any other virus) which I feel miraculously supported me. Thank you Anastassia Renard for your homeopathic/naturopathic knowledge.
A participant from Honoring the Sacred Retreat wrote today in the group, which touched me deeply:
"Hi @Alexa Mira, for the group i am glad we all did the precaution tests. Because that is what the group needed. And for myself i am glad i did the retreat because i am feeling so much shifted in the energy of love, aliveness and playfulness that i would do it immediately again (even if i would know in advance that i would get covid by participating).
I want to learn to live with corona as a part of life. Not from fear, but embrace it with love. Take responsibility for others and at the same time choose to not limit myself in my growth… But live every day, in every moment in what life has to offer me. If this means that i now have corona from the retreat than i am now in the most perfect health and in a loving body to embrace it all …" HD
