Celebrating ENVY
Envy arises when we see someone else living some parts of our dream.
I've been often finding myself envious of people who show up in in their full non-apologetic self-expression, who have no business about other's opinions, who make bold steps in this life without compromise even with their own ego.
I am grateful I have come across those few individuals who have reflected to me my own light by their example.
Envy is an emotion that doesn't feel pleasant, because it arises when we are not yet living what we would like to live, but if we look deeper it actually also shows where we compromise, where we buy into our fears for the sake of comfort, where we chicken out instead of trusting ourselves, where we don't love and honor ourselves.
In this sense, envy is such a beautiful Gift.
It's only important not to be trapped in comparison, because comparison takes our power away, puts another on a pedestal and gives us a feeling of worthlessness.
I grew up with my mom's words: "Don't show up too much. Be modest, otherwise people will envy you." And so unquestionably all my life I've been afraid of someone's envy and of my own towards others, as if envy had no place to be.
But what I found out is that when I allow the feeling of envy completely, in full consciousness, then I am acknowledging my own light and power. And if someone envies me, this means I reflect to them their own light and power.
Envy guides us to see our own unrealized potential, where we don't allow ourselves to shine. It points to our Light as well as our shadows that stop us from living this life in a way that we CAN live. It's an invitation to become even more honest, even more courageous, even more loving.
I celebrate this feeling as it guided me so many times.
Take a deep Breath and live your own Light. 🙏🔥
